Lori Fowler

Community Outreach (Anne Arundel County)

Lori is an educator from Annapolis, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bowie State University and then obtained her Master’s in Instructional Systems Development from University of Maryland Baltimore County. Her love for learning continued as she completed her Administrator’s Certification at McDaniel College. She spent 21 years in the classroom, inspiring young minds and challenging her students to become doers and thinkers. She has always had a passion for service, and is thrilled to currently work for Anne Arundel County Public Schools as the Manager for Service Learning and Mentorships.

Lori thinks of herself as a servant leader and has been involved with her churches and many non-profits in Anne Arundel County. She served as the Coordinator of Local Missions for Centerpoint Church in Annapolis, which allowed her to serve in another capacity. She thrives on working with others and enjoys growing and learning from others as she leads.

The mission of SheRises is close to her heart. As a sophomore in college, Lori had a daughter and understands the challenges that young mothers face. She is excited to serve with SheRises and hopes to support the mission to empower young women.

Lori lives in Annapolis with her husband, Rob, and has four children ages 27 to 8. In her spare time she enjoys live music, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
